About Embakasi North Constituency NG-CDF

Hon. James Gakuya (UDA) serves as the Member of Parliament representing Embakasi North Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya. Embakasi North Constituency: The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) (hereafter referred to as the Fund) formerly Constituencies Development Fund (CDF), is a fund established in 2003 through an Act of Parliament, the Constituencies Development Fund Act, 2003. The Act was later reviewed through the enactment of the CDF (Amendment) Act 2007, and repealed through CDF Act, 2013. The latter was subsequently succeeded by the current NG-CDF Act, 2015. At cabinet level, NG-CDF is represented by the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution, who is responsible for the general policy and strategic direction of the Fund. NG-CDF Embakasi North is one of the constituencies in Nairobi County with a population of181, 388 (one hundred and eighty one thousand three hundred and eighty eight registered voters and an area of 208sq.km2... The Member of Parliament is currently Hon. James Mwangi Gakuya. The sub-county VISION: "To transform Embakasi North Constituency into an educational facility for all by year 2030. MISSION: "To institute program activities towards education aimed at providing, empowering, promoting, regulating and coordinating services and activities geared towards the eradication of poverty in the constituency by 60% within five years through prudent management especially in education and Security, and efficient utilization of NG-CDF and other funds allocated to the Constituency."

Appointed pursuant to Section 25 of the NG-CDF Act, 2015 to oversee prudent public financial management, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance for development projects in Embakasi North Constituency.
